Startec Dynamics, a Canadian startup, is enhancing motorcycle safety with its Athena Smart System. The company has received $600,000 in initial investment and is seeking an additional $4-5 million to advance the next versions of Athena.

Motorcycles, despite their widespread use, lack advanced safety features, contributing to high accident rates. To address this, Athena integrates an SOS emergency response system, keyless ignition, geo-tracking anti-theft, and traffic detection sensors. Future versions will include AI-driven analytics, side-alarm sensors, and over-the-air updates for continuous improvement.

Manufacturing and testing began in Cambodia, with Cambodia-based Calypso Motor incorporating Athena into a new model, making it one of the first smart motorcycles. Startec aims to expand its technology globally.
